The Adventure in Subic Part IV: The Treetop Adventure

Adventure rides in the country has been spouting like mushrooms.  There's something about being suspended some meters above the ground, breaking through the wind and letting gravity taking control - EXCITING.

It's nerve wrecking when you think about it. I remember my knees were shaking and I sweat like a pig amid the cool temperature.  My first zip line experience was no less at Dahilayan Adventure in Bukidnon, known to be the longest in Asia.

The moment they released me, you'd hear my scream as loud as a cow. But once there, I felt as free as a bird. I opened my eyes to see the spectacular view.  I stretched my arms as if they were wings.  I was flying. My toes were as cold as ice, I felt it brushed through the tips of the evergreens.

If I have survived the longest in Asia, the one in Papa Kit's came easy breezy. It's not as high. But the view of the sea made the difference.

The one in EAT Danao, Bohol looks intimidating because of the deep cliffs and the river gushing crazily in between but i crossed it without fear!

In the middle of this concrete jungle stands the tallest, The Crown Regency Hotel.

The Sky Expereince Adventure, the Edge Coaster. ("...goes around the edge of the building while riders are locked onto a rail seat. High above at the 38th floor of the tower, riders can indulge in a breathtaking panorama of the entire Cebu landscape 130.84 meters above ground") This ride maybe moving slow but once tilt close to 90 degrees, you'll feel that the sky is closer than that of the ground! (The Tower Zip wasn't available yet when I visited them) Another scream!

Subic has something to offer as well.  After our visit to Ocean Adventure, we went to The Treetop Adventure for their fun rides.

Only my niece bravely did this as my knees were shaking terribly.  There's something about my fear in vertical drop that I have not conquered even after my craziest plunge in Bohol. I tried to find the courage but fear got its way. So, no, I said I pass this time.

Instead, I took the Canopy Ride "Appreciate unspoiled nature from up to 100 feet above the ground! Follow an adventure trail suspended among the rain-forest’s highest branches by crossing 4 suspension bridges and taking 5 motorized cable rides of up to 220 meters long."

And there's their Ultimate Adventure - Superman Ride "Experience real Wildlife! Soar from tree to tree while securely suspended facedown and feet up. This thrilling trail covers 2 platforms of up to 140 meters long and 100 meters high." what makes it unique from the other zip line experience is, they drag you backwards first before you do your superman fly.
